About Me

Following an Honours degree in Psychology, I pursued a successful career for over 30 years, in operational and strategic management within both the public sector and commercial businesses. Eventually my work centred around business and organisational development.
Subsequently I chose to return to my original interest in human behaviour and retrained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I worked within an acute NHS mental health unit and volunteered with MIND and the Samaritans, and in 2012 was awarded an MSc (merit) by the University of London. I also hold a Certificate in Clinical Assessment.
In my private practice in Tunbridge Wells, I offer both brief and longer-term one-to-one therapy for adults, to address a range of emotional and psychological issues. My approach is generally "open ended" - there are no pre-determined plans of work or rigid timescales imposed – but for some clients I can work to a limited number of sessions.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I support and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework – for further details, please see the BACP website.
